Research and Experimentation Grants in Art+Science+Technology 
  
Reminder: The Daniel Langlois Foundation is resuming its research and 
experimentation grant program for individuals or research groups. This 
program offers grants to individuals of all nationalities who make 
exceptional contributions to the advancement of knowledge at the 
crossroads of art, science, technology and the environment, or to 
candidates whose projects show a high level of originality and 
innovation in these domains. These research and experimentation grants 
carry a maximum value of $ 75,000 CAD and are intended to assist these 
people in the research, exploration and the development of their 
projects. The deadline to submit a proposal is January 31st, 2006. It is

2006 Researchers in Residence 
  
The Foundation is pleased to announce that two researchers have been 
named through its invitation for research proposals, the deadline for 
which was August 31, 2005. Selected were the research projects of 
Caroline Langill (Peterborough, Ontario, Canada) and Kathryn Farley 
(Evanston, Illinois, United States). The residencies will be conducted 
in 2006 at the Foundation's Centre for Research and Documentation in 
Montreal:

Research and Experimentation Residency for Artists from Emerging 
Countries or Regions 
  
The Foundation is pleased to announce the first recipient of this 
research and experimentation residency, which is jointly offered by the 
Foundation and the Montreal based artist-run centre OBORO. The 
recipient, Surajit Sarkar, from New Delhi (India), has been chosen 
through an invitation for residency proposals process, the deadline for 
which was September 30, 2005. The recipient will spend two months in 
Montreal conducting research and technical experimentation at OBORO's 
studios and laboratories:
