FutureEverything and Futuresonic are seeking an exceptional
individual to bring energy and commitment to a senior management post
in Manchester, UK.
FutureEverything is a creative 'Community Interest Company' (CIC)
responsible for Futuresonic, an internationally acclaimed festival of
art, music and technology established in 1995, that is urban,
international, inclusive, and in Manchester. FutureEverything has
been awarded Regularly Funded Organisation (RFO) status by Arts
Council England from April 2007. The organisation has a passion for
new ways of working. It has conducted successful research
collaborations with UK and international universities. And it works
in a range of venues, across different artforms, and with a wide
range of partners. The Futuresonic festival has been commissioned as
a 'Manchester Firsts' project by Manchester International Festival,
and identified as an 'exemplar project' by the Original Moderns
campaign.
We are now seeking a dynamic General Manager to join this ambitious
and forward looking organisation. You will take responsibility for
the effective operational management and financial planning of the
organisation, working with the Artistic Director and Board to move
the company forward in its next stage of development. You will be
highly organised, with experience of project management, HR, legal,
finance and fundraising. You'll join a bustling, energetic team at
FutureEverything, taking the lead in developing key strategic
partnerships, general management of the organisation's day to day
operation, specific project management responsibilities, and enabling
the festival team to provide the best possible support to artists,
partners and venues, and the best possible experience to audiences.
Initially an 18 months part-time, fixed term contract at 0.6 full-
time equivalent starting Feb/Mar 2007. Salary: £32,000-£35,000 pro rata.
