Assistant Professor of Art in Digital Media Department of Art Eastern Washington University Position Available Fall 2008 Eastern Washington University and the College of Arts & Letters invite applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Art in Digital Media, beginning September 2008. Required: MFA or equivalent in art; experience in Digital Media and knowledge of contemporary art. Preferred: two years of university teaching experience. Teach undergraduate Digital Media and additional courses such as: Basic Design, Color Design, Beginning Drawing and Art in the Humanities as appropriate to the candidate's experience and departmental need. Responsibilities include maintaining facilities/equipment for digital lab; writing a yearly grant for the purchase of new equipment/software; implementing future technological enhancements in the digital lab; overseeing lab technician and work-study students; advising art majors; and participating in departmental BFA critiques. A commitment to teaching and classroom excellence, active engagement in creative professional work and participation in department, university and community service, is required. Eastern Washington University seeks an engaging teacher to teach digital media with a commitment to diversity and to complement the expertise of the other members of the department.
