Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the next Small Grants Competition ($7,500) of the SSRC/Necessary Knowledge for a Democratic Public Sphere program.

Grants are available for research that supports public-interest efforts to change the media / telecommunications infrastructure, practices, policies or content.

They are intended for short-term, advocacy-centered research, completable and usable by advocacy partners within the next 4-12 months.

Applications are due (online) September 8, 2008.
