BLACK AUDIO FILM COLLECTIVE Fr 8 Apr > Su 22 May 11 expo Black Audio Film Collective was founded in 1982 by seven students of sociology, psychology and the visual arts. In their brilliant films, experimental documentaries and poetic slideshows that they created between 1982 and 1998, they explored such themes as memory, political struggle and revolt, post-colonialism, repression, diaspora, black history and racial identity. STUK presents several key works by these artists, who have been highly influential elsewhere, but are insufficiently known in Belgium. with a.o. following films: Expeditions: Signs of Empire .
