Political music theatre about the struggle against neoliberal order
Andcompany&Co from Germany are well known for their anarchistic, hilarious yet razor-sharp approach to the big historical themes. For their latest project, they have dived into international activism à la Occupy, together with visual artist and original Occupy activist Noah Fisher.
Angie O. is a passionate social activist – a kind of Forrest Gump of the Occupy movement. Pitching her tent everywhere people come together to challenge the omnipresent power of neoliberalism: in the jungles of Mexico, on Wall Street or a square by the town hall. To convince the bankers of this world of the importance of the human scale.
In their cheerful ‘agitprop’ style, the performers of Andcompany&Co present the contradictions of our neoliberal times. An era in which charitableness has become an economic factor and activism is always inextricably bound up with the forces it is resisting.
