[Nettime-bold] Fwd: [Genius2000Conference2000] Making kids feel good about the USA

When I was a young child, the one thing that always made me feel better was looking at a dollar bill. Seeing that picture of George Washington and knowing that he never told a lie, even when it was about cutting down cherry trees, well, that really made me feel secure, knowing that our country was founded by honest men. It didn't even matter to me that he was a slave owner and a less than mediocre general who never won a major battle, I knew he could not tell a lie.

Even during the dark days of the Iran Hostage Crisis, when I was about nine years old, I remember hearing some adults talk on the television about how America was losing it's place in the world. We had just lost Vietnam to the commies, and the crazy muslim nuts were keeping our people hostage. But I could still get the dollar bill my grandfather had given me on Christmas day and I could feel good seeing Honest George Washington, the father of our country.

That is why I am so proud of Max and his idea for getting George W. Bush to say "I can not tell a lie." Even though we are making fun of Mr. George W. Bush, he still should agree to do it, because it will help remind all the little kids around America that we're the type of country that is run by very rich and exceedinly honest white men. Even though George W. Bush was illegally placed in office by a corrupt Burrito Supreme Court, even though he has killed woman, retards and men who were clearly innocent in light of later evidence that George W. Bush was comfortable ignoring when he signed the death warrent. Even though. Even though he was drunk and coked up until the age of 40. Even though he is clearly the least intelligent man ever elected president. Even though he is trying to give much needed tax relief to the richest 1% of the country. Even though. I still think he needs to agree to say "I cannot tell a lie." For the young kids everywhere.
