[Nettime-bold] non-compliance |
In the last interesting turn of events, the U.S. compliance with its own agenda of disarming Iraq is brought in the question. Senator Carl Levin, Michigan Democrat, accused CIA of making an assessment that the UN inspections of Iraqi WMD sited were unlikely to be a success and then ensuring they would not be. The Senate Democrats have accused the CIA director of lying about what information on the suspected location of weapons of mass destruction had been passed on. Now that George Tenet is pretty much acused of co-operating with Saddam Hussein in his efforts to hide his stash of prohibited weapons from the UN inspection team, should we expect Pentagon to launch a couple of cruise missiles over to Langley, VA? Is he at least going to resign? Will this scandal reach any further? Is this the beginning of the impeachment process of the current President of the U.S.? ivo _______________________________________________ Nettime-bold mailing list Nettime-bold@nettime.org http://amsterdam.nettime.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nettime-bold
