<nettime> RADIO B2-92 BACK ON THE AIR VIA SATELLITE AND THE INTERNET

ANEM media update

RADIO B2-92 BACK ON THE AIR VIA SATELLITE AND THE INTERNET.

Radio B2-92 began satellite broadcasts* of its news programs within hours of
it being struck from the airwaves for the fourth time. Radio B2-92 fell
under a blanket banning which affected RTV Studio B, Radio Indeks, the
occupation of Belgrade's highest-circulation daily, Blic, and TV Mladenovac.

B292 news is also broadcast via the Internet in RealAudio and MP3 formats as
well as text. (www.freeb92.net)

ANEM Television has begun emergency production of daily packages for
broadcast via TV Montenegro's satellite to ANEM Television affiliates.

These strategies have helped to provide comprehensive information on the
latest and most brutal attack on the independent media in Serbia to ANEM's
local affiliates and their audience.

This multiple banning will be further countered by a free news bulletin, now
in preparation, to be distributed throughout Belgrade.

Radio Pancevo has begun providing emergency programs to Belgrade audiences.

ANEM is seeking greater bandwidth for live broadcast program on the Internet
(RealAudio, RealVideo and MP3) as well as links to the www.freeb92.net site
which provides detailed information on media resistance to the ongoing
repression.
