Re: <nettime> geertogram III |
The strange rants of Chomsky and Gilder together were quite bizarre. Unfortunately, they did not cancel each other. Gilder seems to be unaware of the source of Usama bin Laden's money. While most of it came from his daddy's exclusive government contracts to spiff up Mecca and Medina, he has shown himself to be an entrepreneur with his construction business in Sudan as well as investments in Somalia, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Netherlands. Undoubtedly his money is laundered somewhere in Europe or perhaps S. Asia. I think he's a pretty astute capitalist, even if his interpretations of Islam are terribly off-base. # distributed via <nettime>: no commercial use without permission # <nettime> is a moderated mailing list for net criticism, # collaborative text filtering and cultural politics of the nets # more info: majordomo@bbs.thing.net and "info nettime-l" in the msg body # archive: http://www.nettime.org contact: nettime@bbs.thing.net
