<nettime> Two WTC pieces in today's Independent

Two good pieces in today's Independent (U.K.). This one:

http://news.independent.co.uk/world/americas/story.jsp?story=95565

points out how badly the investigation of who's responsible for the
attacks is going. Surprise: The USG was grossly exaggerating. Even I
(I pretty much assume anything the government says is a lie till I see
solid evidence) was astounded and impressed by the amazing progress
made within just a day of the attacks. Guess what?

This:

http://argument.independent.co.uk/leading_articles/story.jsp?story=95486

which is the lead editorial as far as I can tell, is one of the most
reasonable ones of I've seen in a mainstream English-language paper.
Nothing outrageous, no self-hatred, no finger-pointing, but a simple
and elegant argument against the hole-riddled logic being used to
justify starting a new war. It's inconceivable to me that the New
York Times would print anything even as lukewarm as this.
