This reminds me of a model I was working on around 1992 - which was one of
radiations/flows - using the electromagnetic spectrum as an example -
what's interesting here is that the flows are uncontained, i.e. there are
nodes/intensifications and limited bandwidth, but there's no 'container' -
these radiations manifest themselves in radio/television/teletype/internet
transmissions - which have their own postmodern geography and political
economy - specifically at the time I was looking at Ciudad Juarez and El
Paso in relation to transmissions and other flows (gangs, immigrants) -
