What's going on in Venezuela and in Caracas.
The europan medias apparently start spreading disinformation around.
3 shot, 28 wounded. By who ? Chavez is sort of pointed at. The gunmen
have been arrested but no clue on who commissionned them. Another coup
? orchestrated wy whom ?

I guess the explananation that is soon going to be handed out is :
protesters were disturbing the political and economical state-order =
terrorism offense according to the 2001 EU Framework Combating
terrorism. Which allows any type of retaliations, and probably US
intervention.

But maybe I'm wrong, I confess having no background on Venezuela.

I've bee looking for information on the net.
No venezualian indymedia section.
I found that

and I know there are at least two venezualian based persons on the list.

Hope they are well.

Gas stations are without fuel, food markets are not receiving
merchandise, and the national strike organize to pressure the
government to announce new elections has stop the oil industry,
all organized commerce, transport, airplanes, buses, everything
except the informal economy (buhoneros). No trucks with food
are delivering goods
at the cities and by Monday, if Chavez doesnīt accept the electoral
proposal, I fear riots will start, first in Caracas and then
in the other cities when people realized they are without food.
The opposition is decided. You want to burn the country - they
say to Chavez -, you want to scare us, go head, militarize the
nation, burn it if you will, but still, you will have no fuel
nor a nation to govern. This is it.

On Thursday night a man shot 20 people in a opposition political
meeting in a Caracas square, three dead, a teenager among them,
several still in danger. When Marines try yesterday to seize
by force the oiltankers in strike, word got around and dozens
of private small boats surrounded the tanker so soldiers couldnīt
climb the ship. A General gave the order in Valencia to take
over by military force a private truck company that takes fuel
to the gas stations, and dozens surrounded the parking lot, a
Colonel disobeyed the orders he received: use the force against
those people; he choses prison today rather than
face the Law in the near future for crimes against humanity.

The killer is a Portuguese immigrant: Joao De Gouveia. However,
the psychiatrist who interviewed him in the Police stations,
half and hour after the shooting, said the man is truly psychotic,
he allucinates and hear voices, completely irrational. The question
is,who gave him a 9mm automatic pistol with serial numbers erased
and taught him to shoot (20 hits, several head wounds, in seconds)?
He was seeing and filmed the day before - by an amateur video
- close to Freddy Bernal, Caracasī Mayor and closest friend of
Chavez, with a lot of heavily armed civilian. Did Bernal equipped
him and sent that poor insane man to the opposition rally? Gouveia
will never explain anything, he is unable to. A history of sexual
abuse silenced his mind forever.

That shooting however, detonated the opposition resolution to
put an end, once and for all, to Chavezīs mandate. A doubt arises,
nonetheless, maybe the opposition equipped Gouveia, knowing the
killing would have such an effect. But then, what was the Portuguese
doing near Bernalīs thugs? A psychotic association with violence
maybe, did he make them believe he was one of them? Bernal is
the truly demented,
and in any case, it seem clear he is ready to defend Chavez even
if it costs a bloody civil war. He is like one of those characters
from The Lord of the Rings, an evil man - Sauron? - with hellish
creatures working for him.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all in the darkness bind them
