I think an important addition to the list (which does not appear to be exclusively German) would be Douglas Davis's "World's First Collaborative Sentence" commissioned b the Lehman College Art Gallery, Bronx, NY, in 1994, and acquired by the Whitney Museum of American Art, 1995.
