<nettime> Sorry Franz, no CIA |
I was there Franz, I walked that February 27th at 1pm. in the Avenida Libertador, cruce con Maripérez in Caracas, just 400 meters away from the G-15 meeting. When Chavez was giving Robert Mugabe from Zimbawe a replica of Simon Bolivar´s sword (see Amnesty International 2003 Report for his country in: http://web.amnesty.org/report2003/Zwe-summary-eng), we were facing the National Guard, tear gas and bullets. I saw them shooting, but couldn´t get away. I seldom participate in any march, but I felt so much indignation at what the National Electoral Board was doing, that I walked to the very front. Sorry to missapoint you, but I was there, no CIA. >--- Original Message --- >From: franz schaefer <schaefer@mond.at> >To: Ricardo Bello <aracal@well.com> >Date: 3/9/04 8:52:32 PM > > Indeed, very beautiful words, but while Chavez gave his speech, >> the National Guard was killing and detaining people so they >>couln't deliver a message to the international press.
