<nettime> Help!

   hi,

I have been a great fan of nettime for a number of years but never
contributed. I am currently writing a Masters dissertation on Bob
Adrians World in 24Hrs and would like to start a thread to help me
through the angst I am suffering. My profs at university are adament
that telecommunications media does not constitute art - despite
having recieived a first for a BA dissertation on the same subject
from the same institution! My thesis is that the telecommunications
art projects are a truly post modern art form (decentralised, non
hierarchical etc) that represent the pinnacle of the dissolution of
the art object. This relates to theories of Rhizomes in the form of
Felix/Guattari, and the 'open work' by Umberto Eco. I would just like
some input as to what contributers to nettime think generally about
the thesis, and the relationship between telecoms art and
   conceptual/performance art.

   Reagrds

   Doug
