Well, he did mention freedomdefined.org where you can find a list of
the most popular licenses that can be used to support the legal aspect
of free cultural expressions as defined by this project.

The LAL/FAL is there, amongst many others, with a handy table to compare
their different properties and scope.

Excellent.

For a public review a few years ago I suggested that Arts Council
England require funded works to be freely licensed. I didn't hear any
more about it.
