Re the proposition about if platforms like Secure Drop may make Wikileaks type of political action irrelevant, it is important to note the problems of the politicas of the 'free press'! mean it wasn't only the issue of security, right? there have been many cases where important leaks already being handed to the mainstream media outlets, and journalists working for them yet being ignored politically. What made Wikileaks impact possible was and is its autonomy from the power structures and elite networks the free press is embedded! 
May be FlosPress would be the think that can make Wikileaks kind of action and organisation less fragile hence decrease the political burden that Assange, Manning's and others have had to shoulder.
