Thanks, Florian. Very interesting. What’s confusing is that the mainstream media (radio, TV, newspaper) that report about the Panama Papers themselves replicate the myth that the papers are somehow publicly accessible, searchable etc. There is one exception that I know of, from what has been reported here. Apparantly the Australian Taxation Office has a full copy of the entire data set, as became known yesterday, apart from the 370 investigative journalists that have worked on the case:

It is not yet known if these 370 journalists were given access to all documents. Best, Geert
