Re: <nettime> What is the meaning of Trump's Victory

In response to Steve's illuminating remarks, Brian wonders about Flynn
and Sessions. I strongly recommend (and warn against) this extended
interview with Jeremy Scahill on yesterday's Democracy Now! Scahill
(Blackwater, Dirty Wars) has been closely following these two - and the
mad-dog Right in general - for many years. Best not to listen to this
on your own. And time to pull out Juvenal, poet of empire - "It is
   difficult not to write satire".

I agree with the remarks about the economic "program" but what do you
make of Flynn and Sessions? Given the protests already rising at home
and the clashes abroad that are likely to come on strong, these two
deranged security and surveillance hawks look dangerous to me. If you
wanted a recipe for rhetoric and posturing that spins rapidly out of
control, these guys plus a pinch of Bannon and his crowd just might do
     it.
