The uncanny similarities between the tomorrow's French and the recent US elections are being glaringly ignored by the usual stakeholders:

- the French candidates map to their US peers perfectly, except for the genitals;
- the prognostications are undivided towards the banker's candidate;
- the 'progressives' lament over the unavoidable imperative to vote for the lesser evil;
- etc.

Tomorrow's elections will answer a simple question: is Europe fundamentally different from the US?
