Entschuldigung, nettimers. Yesterday I very much unintentionally reposted to this list Mark Stahlman's lengthy commentary on the history of the Drug Wars. This was spam, and I regret it. I wouldn't be posting this also somewhat spammy apology, however, if I hadn't further screwed up by including my own glib, ill-considered comments on Mark's piece, which were intended wholly for private and casual consumption. This was especially inappropriate. As I already told Mark directly, I have no critique of his remarkable worldview that is thoughtful and informed enough to deserve his attention. And I definitely have none worth sharing with the list.
