Mac Users should note that Linux is also available for various Mac
architectures.... LinuxPPC, MkLinux, MacLinux/68k (not to mention 
other UNIX like OS... NetBSD...). 

All are 'Free Software/Open Source' and are well supported (some
more so than others).
