Here's a response I got to the post I just made on nettime-l:

I'm not sure which is more frightening:

1. That the person doesn't seem to be aware the message came to them 
via the NETTIME-L list.

or

2. That what passes for cyberculture as expressed on NETTIME-L is so 
"white" identified, the person thought that anything not fitting that 
description must have been the result of some error or glitch.
