    ========================================================================
DISCLAIMER: I'm not affiliated with any of the sides in current conflict
on Balkans. I'm a 21 years old student of computer sciences at the
University of Belgrade. I don't support violence as a way of solving any
conflict. You are about to read only one tiny part of my experiences
concerning goddamn war in my living environment.
    ========================================================================

Belgrade cityscape, this morning, doesn't look the same. Looking from
my apartment, on the 7th floor, I can see one tall building covered
with black stripes and huge amount of smoke growing over it.

That building was the target of NATO's attack last night.

The official excuse for that action I have read on CNN's Web site,
only few minutes ago: NATO's rockets striked at the HQ of Socialist
    Party of Serbia (Milosevic's party).

That is not true. ONLY ONE FLOOR served as HQ of SPS! The rest of,
more than 20 floors tall, building was being used by more than 20
companies for their business offices. Also, in that building were
located at least two TV and couple radio stations. They are not
    broadcasting anymore.

The good news is that nobody was killed. People working night shift
were situated on the middle floors, while tmhwks hit building lobby
and last floor. I also know that SPS offices were empty and it's
very questionable if rockets even hit the exact floor.

You can disagree with me when I say that THIS IS REALLY DISGUSTING
ACT OF BARBARISM, but I cannot approve UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
bombing of CIVILIAN TARGETS, such as this Business Centre!

Destroying the whole building just because of couple hundred square
meters of meaningless SPS paperwork offices is really insane.

BTW, the last bridge in Novi Sad was also the target of NATO's
attack last night. It is unusable for anything more than pedestrian
traffic. Railroad line Belgrade-Budapest, running over that bridge,
    is also destroyed.

Two days ago, also in Novi Sad, the Vojvodina province Parliament
building was also bombed in the center of the city. That building,
constructed by architect Dragisa Brasovan was built in 1939 in
modern style, of white marble, and can be found in histories of
world architecture. It was a civilian state administrative building.

OK, you can tell me now that Milosevic is doing more insane things
on Kosovo, and I agree, but KOSOVO, BELGRADE AND NOVI SAD ARE NOT
THE SAME THING! Just like Northern Ireland and London are not the
same thing! If conflict in Northern Ireland was not "put on ice"
recently and if it did escalated, would bombing of London solve
    something or stop someone?
