<nettime> [n5m3-debates] Book Banned in Chile

     [orig to <n5m3-debates-l@waag.org>]

The Black Book of the Chilean Justice (El libro negro de la justicia
chilena) was banned early April in Chile by a court decision.
Journalist Alejandra Matus flew out of the country the same day her
book was launched and ... banned, she was worried because of
previous attempts by journalists to break censorship to investigative
journalism resulted in arrest and trials, though they were later freed.
The Chilean Digital Journalists Asociation has posted the book
in its entirety at http://freespeech.org/apd, hence displaying
the book for all Chileans to read. (Text is in Spanish)

It's a pretty amazing expose--written by a newspaper beat reporter
who covered the Chilean Supreme Court and appeals court. It's dedicated
to two colleagues who covered the same beat, and who were murdered.
