PEACE-CLICK

The "Millennium Cyber Human Chain" is an international movement through which
10 million netizens worldwide will express their wishes for peace and reunification
of Korea by putting peace messages on the internet home page (http://www.peacekorea21.org,
or http://www.peaceclick.org) and thereby taking part in the event.

In 1950, five years after the division of Korea, a terrible war ravaged the
 country leaving over 100,000 casualties and bitter enmity between the North
and the South. For the past fifty years suspicion and hatred have prevented
unification. Despite the intermittent contacts, the tensions are still very
real.

Many people and organizations have been working to overcome these challenges
and to end the heart-breaking division. The "Cyber Human Chain" movement, led
by CBS(Christian Broadcasting System in Korea) and CAN(Citizen's Action Network)
in Korea, is intended to focus and concentrate the international will for peace
so that early in the new millenium, peace and reunification will be realized
on the Korean peninsula--the only remaining divided country in the world. The
internet network constructed by this event will become a new-style reunification
movement: a "Cyber Reunification Movement."

Won't you join us in expressing your prayers for peace? You can participate
in the movement by visiting the website for "Millennium Human Cyber Chain" and
your visit will be an important move to contribute to bring peace to Korea.
Please click here (http://www.peacekorea21.org, or http://www.peaceclick.org)
and email us to peaceclick@cbs.co.kr for any questions and opinion. We are waiting
for your active participation!!

And another thought for the great turning !!

There are two hungry wolves,
abroad, and at home,
seeking whom they may devour;
greed and status.

Voracious their appetite,
snacking incessantly in modern mode;
seductive their many subtle faces,
imposters of persistent infiltration.

Withstand them resolutely
with awareness of the new drive
for financial democracy
also now stalking the lands.

Call on your own faithfulness
to face the fears;
evoke new disciplship
or know that vale of tears.

Seattle '99, an eternal battle ground,
gives us a new millennium
and a new chance, to generate
peace found in freedom from self-interest

true interest is only in the Common Good.

Rich blessings upon all in this significant season,
Peter Challen

Subject: New Year Greetings from the WRTC

Dear ALL,

May I take this seasonal opportunity to wish all of you
*A Very Happy, Prosperous & Healthy New Millennium!*
I also have a present for you. A poem composed by 'Mother Teresa'.

"Do It Anyway"
By Mother Teresa

People are often unreasonable, illogical,
and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, People may accuse you
of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some
false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building, someone
could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.

With metta and respect,
Dr. Khin Ni Ni Thein
