Abstract

As technology becomes part in most of our daily activities, the boundaries
between internal and external, privacy and public, start to shift and with
them the notion of privacy. Is it now time to sit down and rethink the
traditional privacy concept so that is better suited for the challenges of
an information age? In her talk Lisa Austin will discuss these issues. She
will take the audience through a discussion of the changing relationship
between the development and usage of information and communication
technologies and privacy advocacy. Lisa Austin will provide some guidelines
as to how privacy can be reconceptualized to better fit today's reality.
