Impakt Festival 2001:
2 t/m 7 oktober in het Centraal Museum
Het doet ons groot plezier aan te kunnen kondigen dat het Impakt Festival 2001 plaats zal vinden van 2 t/m 7 oktober in het Centraal Museum te Utrecht. De eerder aangekondigde data (3 t/m 8 april) vervallen. Het festival zal niet, zoals gebruikelijk over diverse locaties verspreid in Utrecht plaatsvinden, maar zich concentreren in het Centraal Museum. Het museum biedt onderdak en faciliteiten terwijl de programmering in handen van Impakt is. Wij zien de samenwerking met het Centraal Museum als een uitgelezen kans om het Impakt Festival in een nieuwe context te presenteren. Het staat voorop dat het veelzijdige karakter en de sfeer van het Impakt Festival in het Centraal Museum behouden zal blijven. De presentatie van een multi-disciplinair festival op deze locatie is een uitdaging waarbij we de grenzen van wat mogelijk is binnen een museum zullen verkennen.
De samenwerking met het Centraal Museum bij de organisatie van het Impakt Festival is eenmalig. In 2002 zal het Impakt Festival weer op de gebruikelijke locaties plaatsvinden. Het Impakt Festival 2001 zal overigens samenvallen met de overzichtstentoonstelling van Pippilotti Rist die plaatsvindt van 16 augustus tot 18 november in het Centraal Museum.

Informatie voor kunstenaars en distributeurs
Door het verplaatsen van het festival zal er ook een nieuwe deadline komen voor het Panorama programma. Dit betekent dat het opnieuw mogelijk is om werk (NB: uitsluitend film, video, CD-roms en websites) in te zenden. De nieuwe deadline voor inzendingen is 15 mei 2001. Graag zou Impakt inmiddels ontvangen materiaal in huis houden tot na de nieuwe selectieprocedure. We verwachten de nieuwe selectieprocedure midden augustus 2001 af te ronden. Neem svp contact met ons op als dit problemen oplevert. Indien van toepassing ontvangen we graag up-dates van reeds ingezonden werk. Eventueel nieuw werk van kunstenaars die al ingezonden hebben, is natuurlijk ook van harte welkom. Nieuwe inschrijfformulieren kunnen opgevraagd worden bij Impakt.

Impakt Festival 2001: October 2 - 7 in the Centraal Museum
We are very pleased to announce that the Impakt Festival 2001 will take place from October 2 - 7 in Utrecht's Centraal Museum. The dates previously announced (April 2 - 8) are no longer valid. The festival will not be spread over various locations in Utrecht, as is usually the case, but will instead be concentrated in the Centraal Museum. The museum will provide the location and facilities, while the programming will be in Impakt's hands. We see this collaboration with the Centraal Museum as a perfect chance to present the Impakt Festival in a new context. We will take care that the multifaceted character of the Impakt Festival will be preserved in the Centraal Museum. The presentation of a multidisciplinary festival at this location is a challenge during which we will explore the borders of what's possible within a museum.
This collaboration of the Centraal Museum in the organization of the Impakt Festival is a one-time event. In 2002, the Impakt Festival will again take place at the usual locations. The Impakt Festival 2001 will also be held concurrently with the Pippilotti Rist retrospective exhibition in the Centraal Museum, which will run from August 16 to November 18.

Information for artists and distributors
Due to the relocation of the festival, there will also be a new deadline for the Panorama program. This means that it is still possible to submit work (note: exclusively film, video, CD-roms and websites). The new deadline for submissions is May 15, 2001. Impakt would also like to hold on to materials already received until after the new selection procedure has been finished. We expect to complete the new selection procedure by the middle of August, 2001. Please contact us if this presents any problems. If applicable, we'd also like to receive updates to works that have already been submitted. Of course, any new works from artists who have already made submissions are also very welcome. New registration forms can be requested from Impakt.
