[Nettime-nl] [ STEIM ] Announcement Demo/Workshop Thursday May 6

On Thursday 6 May at 8 p.m. STEIM will host a demo/workshop with Jan
Trutzschler v.F and Joel Ryan on the current state of SuperCollider.

The changes in sc3 have been dramatic but not always accessible to
those not participating actively in the open source language writing
project. Jan Trutzschler has been active, adding classes and methods at
all levels of SuperCollider3 and is ready to do some documentation.

He will sketch an overview of his support classes for midi, game
controllers and more general structures for external control.
He has worked with Joel Ryan this year on a special adaption of the
ProxySpace environments of Julian Rohrhuber's JITLIb.

Jan has devised a ControlSpace object which allows for easy remapping
in real-time of external controls and gui's as different synthdefs come
and go: a sort of no pop-up sub species of sc3.

He has also devised a drag and drop feature which affords an especially
fast and flexible way of addressing parameters in real-time. There may
even be a peak at an early version of his non real-time multi-tracker
tool for SuperCollider.

Date: Thursday May 6th 2004
