VJLaunch is een tweemaandelijkse avond in Cultuurpodium EKKO, die in het
teken staat van live video performance. In plaats van de dj, staat tijdens
VJLaunch de vj centraal. De vj's bepalen muziek, visuals, performances en
aankleding van de drie ruimtes van EKKO (de danszaal, de filmzaal en het
cafe). Door middel van samenwerkingsprojecten met de Hogeschool voor de
Kunsten, het Centraal Museum en Impakt wil EKKO de veejayscene stimuleren en
bekend maken bij een breed publiek.

About AlexEtJeremy

VJ duo Alex [Belgrade] and Jeremy [Paris], they met in 1996 in Paris.
Based in Amsterdam, since 1998, the two combine aspects of pop culture which
have influenced them whilst growing up,
developping from this their own artistic expression and sensibility.
The imaginary world of AlexEtJeremy is a visual wonderland built up from
segments of New Wave, Glam Rock, Silent Films, popular Kitsch and 50's.

Their style can be described as narrative,
anti-minimalist, anti-abstract, underground and powerfull in color.
They create their own video using people they like... creating a new
generation of actors...
Mixing self-produced video in clubs, festivals, exhibitions, etc...,
they love to create realtime video-clip and interact with the public.

Voted world's 17th top VJ of 2005 by DJ Mag. (uk)
Winners of the VJ Battle "Inframe 2005" - Berlin
They played Live at BigChill festival 2004 for Roger Eno and in 2005 for
OneSelf (NinjaTune)
