Politics of Change is een project dat artistieke research doet naar grassroots gemeenschappen die op innoverende wijze duurzame veranderingen bijdragen aan onze maatschappij. Een multimedia archief- installatie documenteert op extensieve wijze deze nieuwe formats op sociaal, educatief en ecologisch gebied aan de hand van films, foto's, interviews en andere informatie. PoC is een collaboratief project waaraan kunstenaars, activisten en theoretici als gelijkgestemden samenwerken. Vertrekkend vanuit een breed artistiek en theoretisch veld willen we nieuwe en duurzame relaties onderzoeken tussen de mens, zijn leefwereld en technologie, met een focus op de rol van de vrouw.

donderdag 18/12 - 12u tot 17u - reflectie in discussiegroepen
- gender en activisme (casestudy: This is Jenin)
- niet-traditionele opleidingsformats (casestudy: Solar Engineers of Barefoot College)
vrijdag 19/12 - 12u tot 17u - reflectie in discussiegroepen
- social and ethical approach (casestudy: Bamako)
- non traditionele economische formats (SHG en micro-loans, casestudy: Pradan)
zaterdag 20/12 - 12u tot 17u
- conclusies, afronding en voorbereidingen voor publieke presentaties

- publieke presentaties en artistieke interventies door de participanten (projectpresentatie, films en installaties, performance, creatieve databases, ...)

Politics of Change is a research project in which artists, theorists and activists reflect on innovative ideas, contributions and solutions which support distributed and grassroot structures. This reflection takes place through a program of free discussion and dialogue and is documented in a multimedia archive-installation.
The focus is on the role of women at the core of these communities.
Drawing on a wide range of artistic and theoretical approaches, the aim is to imagine new and sustainable relationships between humans, their environments and (appropriate) technologies.
