[Nettime-ro] FW: Announcement Fellowship Collegium Helveticum Zürich 02/03 |
The Collegium Helveticum of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich awards a Fellowship supported by the 'Zuger Kulturstiftung Landis & Gyr' for an artist from Middle or Eastern Europe who has completed graduate studies in multimedia arts and/or has practical experience in the area of feature and documentary film. The fellowship covers a six-month stay at the Collegium Helveticum from mid October 2002 till mid April 2003. The Collegium Helveticum is an academic institution for the dialogue between the sciences and between science, literature and the arts. It offers a one-year graduate programme for 8 - 10 younger researchers from the sciences as well as the humanities and invites senior academic guests for longer periods. The Collegium Helveticum organises seminars, workshops and symposia on issues involving a transdisciplinary perspective and seeks to include the public context actively in its work. The artist-in-residence is expected to participate in the intellectual and social life of the Collegium Helveticum. This includes communication about artistic processes and an interest in the diverse material and discussions at the collegium; a command of German and/or English is essential. During the academic year 2002/2003 the Collegium will focus on the topics of narrativity and narrative structures in science and art. The artist in residence is supposed to develop a project relating to these areas of investigation in collaboration with the collegiates and scientific staff of the collegium. The fellowship covers a fixed budget for travel and living expenses during the stay in Zurich. Working space, technical facilities (digital video equipment) and material will be provided. Artists interested should submit their application consisting of their curriculum vitae, a short outline of their motivation and expectations and how they intend to respond to the specific situation and focus described above as well as a documentation of their work (e.g. videos (no Betaformats), DVDs, publications, catalogues or other material) and two letters of recommendation before April 2nd, 2002 to: Collegium Helveticum, (Fellowship Landis & Gyr), STW, ETH Zentrum, Schmelzbergstrasse 25, CH - 8092 Zurich For further information, please contact PD Dr. Johannes Fehr at the Collegium Helveticum phone +41 1 632 7307; fax +41 1 632 1204; e-mail fehr@collegium.ethz.ch ------------------------------------------------------- Melentie Pandilovski Director Contemporary Arts Center - Skopje Orce Nikolov 109, 1000 Skopje Republic of Macedonia Tel/Fax: +389.2.133.541 Tel/Fax: +389.2.214.495 Mobile: +389.70.217.075 http://www.scca.org.mk ------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ Nettime-ro mailing list Nettime-ro@nettime.org http://amsterdam.nettime.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/nettime-ro --> arhiva: http://amsterdam.nettime.org/
