prezent.

VI 10.05 / 20:00 / Centrul Ceh

desi izolata in imprejurimi straine, si-a pastrat limba, cultura si
identitatea nationala.

In The Wind That Broke the Land(Ivo Bystrican / 2012, 26â) regizorul inregistreaza schimbarile intr-un sat cehesc din Banat dupa ce au fost construite eoliene in apropierea satului.

Aleksandrinke / Metod Pevec / Slovenia, Italia / 2011 / 90â

fetele si femeile care au lucrat in Egipt in a doua jumatate a

Proiectie in prezenta regizorului Metod Pevec / Intrare libera /Fb event aici

English version:

Friends,
The Days of Czechs from Banat is a weekend full of Czech culture and tradition as preserved in six isolated villages in Banat, and it starts with two documentaries, at the Czech Centre.Â
FR 10.05 / 20:00 / Czech Centre
With a complex structure, the ethnographic documentary Piemule(Jana Sevcikova / 1984, 43â) describes the history and moral code of this small enclave which kept its language and cultural identity, although isolated among strangers.
In The Wind That Broke the Land(Ivo Bystrican / 2012, 26â), the director documents the changes that occurred in a Czech village in Banat after wind mills were placed nearby.
Free entrance /fb event here
The weekend continues with a diverse program of music, dance,
exhibitions, food and other interesting traditions, at the Village
Museum, Anglican Church, the University Passage and restaurant La
Historia.
Do not miss the black-and-white photography exhibition of Pavel Hroch â Czechs from Banat. It will not be a simple opening, there will be music, beer and real Czech spirit.
SA 11.05 / 14:00 / Village Museum, Room Henri H. Stahl

MO 13.05 / 20:00 / Documentary Mondays / Centrul Ceh
Aleksandrinke / Metod Pevec / Slovenia, Italia / 2011 / 90â
The expression âAleksandrinkeâ is a specific term invented by local
people from Goriska, a region in Slovenia, as a reference to the girls
and women who worked in Egypt in the second half of the 19th century.
Middle class and countryside girls from this region migrated to work for rich Europeans as cooks, maids, nannies, wet nurses or dressmakers,
etc. A dramatic story, sad from beginning to end. The poverty that ruled Slovenia at that point forced a lot of people into such situations.

Czech - Slovak Battle

TU 14.05 / 20:00 / Museum of Romanian Peasant
Twenty years from our friendly division we have the pleasure to
invite you to a Czech-Slovak Battle which will take place in the
courtyard of the Museum of Romanian Peasant (Muzeul Taranului Roman,
Intrarea Monetariei, nr. 3) on May 14, 2013 at 18.00. The Battle will
be conducted in velvet gloves, by utterly peaceful means of music,
drinks and food. Two cimbalom players, one from Slovakia and one from
Czechia, will fight for the favour of the audience. Slovak spirits,
Czech beer and food from both countrites will be served. The Battle will be followed by a concert of the joint Czecho-Slovak band at the
