A conference update from Tim O'Reilly

The P2P Conference program has been finalized. There are over fifty sessions
in three tracks, covering everything from file sharing systems to
distributed computation, Web services, and p2p architectures for mobile and
embedded systems. Expect hard-core technical content, as well as a strong
business track, covering business models, market opportunities, and
application case studies for peer-to-peer technologies.
Check out our lineup of more than ninety speakers and technology innovators,
entrepreneurs, and business leaders, including Ray Ozzie of Groove, Ian
Clarke of Freenet, Gene Kan of Gnutella, Johnny Deep of AIMster, Bill Joy of
Sun Microsystems, Eric Schmidt of Novell, Dave Stutz and Christian Huitema
of Microsoft, David Anderson of SetiAtHome and United Devices, and many more

We'll also be hearing from industry analysts, venture capitalists, and
journalists, including Professor Larry Lessig of Stanford Law School, Clay
Shirky of the Accelerator Group, Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly & Associates, Bob
Knighten of the Intel Peer to Peer Working Group, Dan Gillmor of the San
Jose Mercury News, Rob 'CmdrTaco' Malda and Jeff 'Hemos' Bates of Slashdot,
and Justin Hibbard of Red Herring.

In addition to the many talks and panels, we're creating space for hallway
conversations and "birds of a feather" sessions where attendees can get
together with peers to discuss issues and opportunities.

The vendor expo will be open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the foyer
outside the Grand Ballroom.

I hope to see you there.

Tim O'Reilly
