CALL FOR ESSAYS AND PAPERS

Triebwerk is an arts and culture monthly based in Vienna, Austria. In the
coming year, we would like to develop an editorial focus on culture-related
issues in science and technology. Topics will range anywhere from the
history of information codes to parthenogenesis, from the recycling of
human tissue to household gadgets and digital composition.

For this project, we are looking for contributors with a background in
science and technology who are willing and able to cast -
tabloid-compatibel, phenomenological, politically and culturally relevant -
light on their fields of research and development. Possible journalistic
approaches range from essay/report formats (6.000 - 10.000 chars) to more
experiental, opinion-oriented sections (4.000 - 5.000 chars). Fees are far
from extraordinary, but enough to make the effort worthwhile. Submission
can be made in English or German language.

PLEASE CIRCULATE THIS ANNOUNCEMENT among your members, students, staff and
research personnel: Anyone interested in our offer is welcome to contact
the editor with a short outline of his/her idea and approach.

We look forward to hearing from you. THANX
