Dear Friends

What happens if you take a digital glitch and apply it directly onto the
architecture of a building? Well, we've been busy over the summer
finding out and are thrilled to invite you to the opening of H3333333K,
a permanent public art piece on the faÃade of the House of Electronic
Arts in Basel.

For H3333333K !Mediengruppe Bitnik translate a glitch from a digital
image onto the faÃade of the House of Electronic Arts Basel (HeK).
Applied directly onto the architecture of the building, the glitch
misaligns the elements of the faÃade, bringing disturbance to an
otherwise settled structure. The glitch is staged as an architectural
dimension, subtly shifting parts of the buildings faÃade and giving it a
surreal property.

The work was commissioned by the House of Electronic Arts Basel and the
Christoph Merian Stiftung.

more to see the piece.
