No, not at all. You are quite wrong. Culture through digitisation becomes a common commodity. Its 'new products' are the outcomes of more labour including the labour of consumption which becomes more work as digitisation becomes more embedded in or rather precedes production of 'conventional' media. Costs of production are shifted onto the consumer in numerous fields, aesthetic, politic, litigic, and economic. Ultimately, and this happened after or on Sept 11th 2001, the work of interpretation becomes so great for media producers and consumers in any media form, given that digitisation precedes mediation and distribution of capital, that well...

A recessionary/inflationary moment occurs where the costs of consumption exceed the costs of production.

This imbalance is met with a reflux. A set of returns in unexpected, inexplicable and ineluctable patterns that, nevertheless, present terribly familiar cultural phenomenon that merely require a more adept critical and cultural analysis dependent upon greater
collectivity and cultural hybritity than any we have at present.



I never really liked the 'digital artesan' model proposed by the 'new romantics' of Westminster which assumed individuals and collectivities mediating through fixed political economic stations to apparently fixed political economic relations,  essentials, or givens. But it was a good model for its time as it insisted on the relevance of history per se (at a time when that was 'bunk') and it helped people make a bit of sense by working together around some common and productive themes.

I am sure that Barbook is not dead, he is resting.

ie. If the Taleban really want to defeat the West, they should find a good lawyer and take the American government to court. A court order will cease military operations and the televised court procedings will educate the American people about 
the Taleban, Islam, and the world in general. The
American defence will, doubtlessly, rest on the misogyny of the Taleban regime and the Taleban will emerge from the process modernised and more democratic in this respect.

If this sounds far fetched, World War Three begins with an American demand that an individual, Osamar bin Laden be handed over for criminal prosecution. 
Now that War has been declared, however, civil law 
is where this dispute has to be resolved as a declaration of war is ironically a civil matter. 

I end this note with the insight: Education in America has become a matter of military-corporate synergy.
