The AnthropoScene Evolution

The Anthroposcene Evolution is a dialogue that began at an
Environmental Research Network conversation, convened in Glasgow by
Alex Benchimol, Hayden Lorimer and Rhian Williams in 2011. As that
conversation closed, Chris Maughan suggested that for the arts and
humanities the idea might be better understood in terms of an
âanthroposceneâ, as a social or cultural ecology. All agreed it was an
idea that needed to evolve and spiral outwards rather than a manifesto
that would solidify and be set in stone. Here-in with many voices,
hearts and minds â we establish a evolution of that discourse. In
2014-2015 an international group of contributors have agreed to
develop critical variations on this theme for posting and discussion.
Some will critique the form of the manifesto itself. We are the first
contributors to a this dialogic journal. The membership of this group
will change each year at summer solstice.

This online journal embraces all those in the arts and humanities who
feel they have a vital role to play in the future. We will establish
links to various projects, workshops and exhibitions as this site
develops.

conversation dans le cadre de lâEnvironmental Research Network (rÃseau
de la recherche environnementale) convoquÃe à Glasgow par Alex
Benchimol, Hayden Lorimer et Rhian Williams en 2011. Comme cette
conversation Ãtait fermÃe, Chris Maughan a suggÃrà que pour les arts
et les sciences humaines lâidÃe pourrait Ãtre mieux comprise en termes
dââanthropo-scÃneâ, comme une Ãcologie sociale ou culturelle.
Tous ont convenu que câÃtait une idÃe qui avait besoin de se perpÃtrer
et dâÃvoluer vers lâextÃrieur plutÃt que dans le cadre dâun manifeste
qui se solidifierait gravà dans la pierre.
Ici-mÃme [i.e. dans ce site intitulà "Anthroposcene Manifesto"] avec
nombre de voix, les cÅurs et les pensÃes â nous Ãtablissons une
Ãvolution de ce discours.
En 2014-2015 un groupe international de contributeurs ont convenu
dâÃlaborer des variations critiques sur ce thÃme pour lâaffichage et
la discussion. Certains vont critiquer la forme du manifeste lui-mÃme.
Nous sommes les premiers contributeurs à un journal de cette
dialogique. La composition de ce groupe va changer chaque annÃe au
solstice dâÃtÃ.
Ce journal en ligne embrasse tous ceux dans les arts et les lettres
qui sentent quâils ont un rÃle vital à jouer dans lâavenir. Nous
allons Ãtablir des liens à divers projets, ateliers et expositions que
ce site se dÃveloppe.
