<nettime> Baudrillard in Saas-Fee


Thank you, John, for sharing this amusing article with us.  Baudrillard 
has changed our perceptions profoundly over the  years and obviously 
has not lost his touch.  Still, it is not his  doctrine but rather how 
he approaches the contemporary world  that makes him unique.  The best 
way to encounter his “weird”  way of thinking is to study with 
Baudrillard! In the summer of  2001, M.A. and Ph.D. students will be 
able work with him at the  European Graduate School. Here is the 
information (a limited  number of openings are still available for the 
year 2001 session):

Jean Baudrillard is a professor of philosophy of culture and media  
criticism at the European Graduate School in Saas-Fee,  Switzerland, 
where he teaches an Intensive Summer Seminar:  

ON PHOTOGRAPHY - THINKING SNAPSHOTS (3 credits)  Outrageous, ironic and 
poetic approaches to hypermedia and  photography, simulation and the 
real.
