Yacy seems interesting. Unfortunately less than 100 accessible peers,
which severely limits its capabilities.

I just wonder what would be the killer application that would make
millions install yacu while google is still up and running. Other than
search for warez and commercial copyrighted content, that is. The
second part of P2P equation.
