Re: <nettime> The War for the Television by IVO SKORIC

all in all this piece was a beautiful recount of all the political
reasoning, failures and consequences leading to the current situation, and
the conclusion that it hasnt changed since the bombing started, and that
it is still a stalemate.

but looking at it from a logical/mathematical point just means that it is
all irrelevant, because if one integrates all that as a algebraic
function, it seems that it amounts to zero.

if that is true, then maybe the factors NOT in the function are the key:
the US will not stop bombing aslong as its making loads of money off it.
it is achieving a definite PLUS on its side of things, the stockmarket is
growing linear ever since the bombs started falling, due to the
renaissance of war-production, and the euro has steadily fallen since the
start of the war due to crumbling confidence of investors toward a weaker
and american dominated europe.

somehow it seems (at least from the tranquil westcoast of
happily-bombing-toward-prosperity-canada) that the ones who just dont get
the secrets of economical mathematics are the ever righteous western
europeans. how else can it be explained that they still support the
erosion of there on wealth by NorthAmerica?

The only one who seems to have caught on, is Tony "Tomahawk" Blair, who
has SAS troops training for a land war - maybe in anticipation of
generating some state-funded revenue thru military activity, which is
basically the only "legal" way to pump public money into infrastructure
and education according to Thatcherism/Reaganomics.

All in all, we have arrived in the future - the New World Order is being
put into practice and the goals are the same they were 100 years ago. The
cycle begins again, just this time round things might work out, at least
at the climax there is the option of complete annhiliation thru nuclear
weapons, not just wimpy trench warfare or carpet bombing or "making a
point" like in 1945 in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

Humanity maybe has got to the point of solving its own equation - the
mathematician scores when his solution is zero, logic will always prevail.
