Iniciativa interesante para poner en evidencia la falta de justificació del
mayor disparate sangriento en muchas décadas:

  Canadienses quieren formar un equipo de inspección de armas en los
  E.E.U.U.

  Una coalición de grupos pacifistas canadienses anunció su intención de
  enviar un equipo internacional de inspectores de armas voluntarios en los
  Estados Unidos a lo largo de este invierno.  La coalición, Rooting Out
  Evil ("eliminando el mal"), está reclutando a inspectores a través de su
  recientemente creada website, www.rootingoutevil.org.  "Nuestra acción ha
  sido inspirada por nada menos que George W. Bush," dijo Christy Ferguson,
  una portavoz del grupo.  "La administración de Bush ha declarado en
  varias ocasiones que las naciones del mal más peligrosas son ésas que:

  1)  tienen reservas masivas de armas químicas, biológicas y nucleares;
  2)  no hacen caso de los acuerdos de Naciones Unidas;
  3)  se niegan a firmar y cumplir tratados internacionales;  y
  4)  han llegado al poder por medios ilegítimos.

  "Basándonos en las propias pautas del presidente Bush, está claro que la
  actual administración de los ESTADOS UNIDOS plantea una gran amenaza a la
  seguridad global," dijo Ferguson.  "Siguiendo los argumentos de Bush,
  exigimos que los ESTADOS UNIDOS concedan a nuestros inspectores acceso
  inmediato a cualquier  lugar del país - incluyendo todos los
  emplazamientos presidenciales - para poder identificar las armas de
  destrucción masiva en este estado del mal," añadió David Langille.

  Invitamos a los visitantes de la website de "Rooting out evil" a que
  firmen para formar parte del equipo de miembros honorarios de inspección
  de armas.  Los inspectores honorarios pueden participar en la acción, o
  simplemente pueden prestar apoyo avalando con su firma esta petición.

  En el actual equipo de inspección que cruzará la frontera, estarán
  también personas prominentes de Canadá y de otros países.

  La coalición "Rooting out evil" incluye a Greenpeace Canadá, el Centro
  para la Justicia Social (Centre for Social Justice), y el Comité de
  Toronto contra la Guerra y Sanciones sobre Irak (Toronto Committee
  Against War and Sanctions on Iraq), y es apoyado por grupos americanos
  tales como la Red Nacional para Terminar la Guerra Contra Iraq (National
  Network to End the War Against Iraq), Intercambio Global (Global
  Exchange) y la Sección de los E.E.U.U. de la Liga Internacional de
  Mujeres por la Paz y la Libertad (the US section of the Women's
  International League for Peace and Freedom).  Estas organizaciones se
  oponen al desarrollo,  almacenaje, y  uso de armas de destrucción masiva

  Canadians to lead weapons inspection team into USA

  A coalition of Canadian peace groups announced their intention to send an
  international team of volunteer weapons inspectors into the United States
  later this winter. The coalition, Rooting Out Evil, are recruiting
  inspectors through their newly launched website, www.rootingoutevil.org.
  "Our action has been inspired by none other than George W. Bush," said
  Christy Ferguson, a spokesperson for the group. "The Bush administration
  has repeatedly declared that the most dangerous rogue nations are those
  that:

  1) have massive stockpiles of chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons;
  2) ignore due process at the United Nations;
  3) refuse to sign and honour international treaties; and
  4) have come to power through illegitimate means.

  "On the basis of President Bush's guidelines, it is clear that the
  current U.S. administration poses a great threat to global security,"
  said Ferguson. "We're following Bush's lead and demanding that the U.S.
  grant our inspectors immediate and unfettered access to any site in the
  country - including all presidential compounds - so that we can identify
  the weapons of mass destruction in this rogue state," added David
  Langille.

  Visitors to Rooting Out Evil's website are invited to sign on as honorary
  members of the weapons inspection team. Honorary inspectors can
  participate in the action, or they can simply lend the support of their
  name as they would on a petition.

  The actual inspection team that crosses the border will be comprised of
  prominent individuals from Canada and other countries.

  The Rooting Out Evil coalition includes Greenpeace Canada, the Centre for
  Social Justice, and the Toronto Committee Against War and Sanctions on
  Iraq, and is supported by American groups such as the National Network to
  End the War Against Iraq, Global Exchange and the US section of the
  Women's International League for Peace and Freedom. They oppose the
  development, storage, and use of weapons of mass destruction by any
  state.

  Kanadier wollen Waffeninspektorenteam in die USA bringen

  Ein Bündnis kanadischer Friedensgruppen kündigte seine Absicht an, ein
  internationales Team von freiwilligen Waffeninspektoren in diesem Winter
  in die Vereinigten Staaten zu senden. Das Bündnis "Rooting Out Evil"
  ("Ausrottung des Bösen") rekrutiert Inspektoren über ihre neu gestartete
  Internetseite www.rootingoutevil.org. "Unsere Aktion ist von niemand
  anderem inspiriert als von George W. Bush," sagte Christy Ferguson, eine
  Sprecherin der Gruppe. "Die Bush-Regierung hat wiederholt ausgesagt, dass
  die gefährlichsten Schurkenstaaten solche sind, die:

  1) große Vorräte an chemischen, biologischen und nuklearen Waffen
  besitzen;
  2) angemessene Verfahren bei den Vereinten Nationen ignorieren;
  3) sich weigern, internationale Abkommen zu unterzeichnen und zu
  respektieren; und
  4) die durch unrechtmäßige Mittel an die Macht gekommen sind.

  derzeitige US-Regierung eine große Bedrohung für die globale Sicherheit
  darstellt," sagte Ferguson. "Wir folgen Bushs Kurs und verlangen, dass
  die USA unseren Inspektoren den unmittelbaren und ungehinderten Zugang zu
  allen Orten des Landes gewährt - inklusive aller Präsidenten-Anlagen -
  sodass wir die Massenvernichtungswaffen in diesem Schurkenstaat ausmachen
  können," fügte David Langille hinzu.

  Die Besucher der "Rooting Out Evil"-Website sind eingeladen, als
  ehrenamtliche Mitglieder des Waffeninspektionsteams zu fungieren.
  Ehrenamtliche Inspektoren können an der Aktion teilnehmen oder ihre
  Unterstützung auch einfach durch ihren Namen geben, wie auf einer
  Unterschriftensammlung.

  Das Inspektionsteam, das über die Landesgrenze einreisen wird, wird aus
  prominenten Individuen aus Kanada und anderen Staaten bestehen.

  Zum "Rooting Out Evil"-Bündnis gehören Greenpeace Kanada, das "Zentrum
  für Globale Gerechtigkeit" und das "Toronto-Kommittee gegen Krieg und
  Sanktionen gegen den Irak" und wird unterstützt von amerikanischen
  Gruppen wie dem "Nationalen Netzwerk zur Beendigung des Krieges gegen den
  Irak", "Global Exchange" und der US-Sektion der "Internationalen
  Frauenliga für Frieden und Freiheit". Sie sprechen sich gegen die
  Entwicklung, Lagerung und Benutzung von Massenvernichtungswaffen eines
  jeden Staates aus.
