[Nettime-ro] FW: [CFront] web 3d art 2002 -- call for entries

(apologies for cross posting)

WEB3DART 2002

CALL FOR ENTRIES
DEADLINE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 13, 2002

The 7th web/3d Conference will take place in Tempe, Arizona, USA, February
24-28, 2002. For conference details, see: http://web3dsymposium.org/.
Sponsored by ACM, SIGGRAPH, in collaboration with the web 3D Consortium,
this conference is the most important venue for 3D creators, and all those
devoted to the virtual 3D online environment. New techniques are offered in
courses, developments in software and online application are showcased, and
the online environment for 3D games, scientific modeling, product design and
architecture is explored.

WEB3DART 2002 will be featured throughout the conference in Tempe,
presenting a selection of new and exciting works created by internationally
regarded artists, architects, designers, students and creative 3D
developers. Formerly called VRML-ART, the selection was held at the 1999
Web 3D Conference in Monterey, California, after a sensational debut and
popular presence at the 1998 conference in Paderborne, Germany, where
VRML-ART was a center of activity and creativity with more than 50 3D works
presented, originating from 25 countries. WEB3DART 2002 will showcase the
ideas and independent creations in all 3D formats, developed for a variety
of purposes.

WEB3DART 2002 will be presented online, at www.web3dart.org, featured in a
special art gallery installation at the 2002 Conference and for the first
time, will have dedicated pages for selected artists in the WEB3D 2002
