[Nettime-ro] Internation fellowship program for professional research andcreative literary arts


The Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers International fellowship program for professional research and creative literary arts. It provides the opportunity for awardees to explore the rich and diverse collections of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library and offers a collegial working environment. The Cullman Center serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas among the fellows, invited guests, the wider academic and cultural communities, and the interested public. Up to fifteen fellowships are awarded for the nine-month term.
Recipients of fellowships are required to be in continuous residence at the Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center for Scholars and Writers for the entire term of the award. The term commences Wednesday, September 8, 2004 and ends Friday, May 27, 2005.
Fellows will receive a stipend of $50,000 and must devote full time to their research projects.
Fellowships are open to scholars, non-academic research professionals, scientists engaged in the humanities, and creative writers of demonstrated achievement whose proposed work requires access to the collections of the Humanities and Social Sciences Library. Foreign nationals are welcome to apply.
Candidates seeking funding for research leading directly to degrees are not eligible.
Fellows are expected to be conversant in English.
