PHILIP

un roman écrit collectivement par un groupe
d’artistes, designers, critiques et curateurs
internationaux en sept jours (Heman Chong, Cosmin
Costinas, Rosemary Heather, Francis McKee, David
Reinfurt, Steve Rushton, Leif Magne Tangen et Mark
Aerial Waller).

PHILIP a été produit en 2006 par Project Arts Centre,
Dublin
et organisé par la curatrice Mai Abu El Dhab.

Discussion autour de l’ouvrage avec certains des
co-auteurs, Heman Chong et Cosmin Costinas, et Tessa
Giblin, curatrice à Project Art Centre, Dublin.

Inspiré par les ‘mondes’ de Philip K.
Dick, PHILIP est une roman anticipant la dernière
semaine de l’an 2019, où un personnage se
bat désespérément pour gagner du temps afin de sauver
son monde. La technologie, l’idéologie,
l’architecture, la construction politique et
l’imminence de la ruine globale sont au
cœur des récits de science fiction et de PHILIP
en particulier.

La conversation aura lieu en anglais.

économique avait été un processus lent, progressif et
profond. C’était tellement ancré que les gens
avaient même perdu foi en la loi de la Nature.
Rien ne paraissait stable ni fixe ; l’univers
était un flux fuyant (…) tout ce qui restait

Kadist Art Foundation est une fondation privée créée
en 2001 ; elle a pour vocation de contribuer à
promouvoir l'art contemporain à travers la
constitution d'une collection et l'organisation
d'expositions et de résidences dans son espace à
Paris. Kadist souhaite participer activement à la
diffusion et aux échanges internationaux de

PHILIP was produced in 2006 by Project Arts Centre,
Dublin and curated by Mai Abu El Dhab.

A discussion around PHILIP with co-authors, Heman
Chong and Cosmin Costinas,
and Tessa Giblin, curator at Project Arts Centre,
Dublin.

Inspired by the worlds of Philip K. Dick, PHILIP is a
novel envisioning the last week of the year 2019 in
the life of a character that is desperately fighting
for time to save his world. Technology, ideology,
architecture, political construction and the prospects
of global ruin are at the heart of science-fiction
narratives and of PHILIP in particular.

The conversation will be held in English.

Kadist Art Foundation is a private foundation
