Anul 2013 se apropie de sfÃrÈit, si noi dorim sÄ vÄ oferim o
perspectivÄ asupra unor evenimente organizate Ãn septembrie 2013, Ãn
cadrul programului Centrul Civic al ChiÈinÄului â dincolo de liniile
roÈii, de artiÈti locali Èi internaÈionali, participanÈi la
programul de rezidentÄ Ãn ChiÈinÄu.

Programul CENTRUL CIVIC al CHIÈINÄULUI â dincolo de liniile roÈii
este organizat Ãn cadrul proiectului SPACES al Uniunii Europene.
Proiectul SPACES este finanÈat de Uniunea EuropeanÄ prin Programul

As the year 2013 draws to an end, the Oberliht team would like to give
you an insight into some of the events organised in September 2013 in
the frame of Chisinau Civic Center - beyond red lines program by local
and international artists, participants in the residency program in
Chisinau.

These events were organised in the frame of the EU project SPACES. The
SPACES project is financed by the European Union through the Eastern

Pe 4 septembrie 2013, Ewa RUDNICKA, Tom RUSSOTTI Èi Karl HALLBERG, au
Èinut o prezentare Ãn ZpaÈiu (Casa Zemstvei) despre activitatea lor
Èi unele proiecte mai vechi.
On the 4th of september 2013 Ewa RUDNICKA, Tom RUSSOTTI and Karl
HALLBERG, held a presentation in Zpace (Zemstvei Museum) about their
work and some of their former projects.

Timp de 5 zile, Ãntre 7 Åi 11 septembrie, echipa studioBASAR a lucrat
Ãn zona oraÈului vechi (intersecÈia str. Sf. Andrei / I. Zaikin)
pentru a reabilita, ÃmpreunÄ cu locuitorii, un parc care a fost
abandonat Èi riscÄ sÄ disparÄ. O prezentare a rezultatelor obÈinute
Ãn cadrul acestui atelier de lucru de 5 zile a avut loc Ãn acelaÈi
parc pe 11 septembrie, urmÃnd a fi organizatÄ Èi o proiecÈie de film
pe 22 septembrie.
On September 7-11th, the studioBASAR team worked in the old town (Sf.
Andrei / Zaikin streets intersection) to rehabilitate, together with
local inhabitants, a park whose quality has been declining over time. A
presentation of this 5-days workshop was held in this very park on the
11th of September as a conclusion to the workshop, complemented by a
movie screening.

Pe 7 septembrie , Karl HALLBERG a creat un "punct de reparaÈii pentru
bicicleteâ, unde oricine putea sÄ-Åi repare bicicleta gratuit. Acest
punct a fost disponibil / a rezistat pÃnÄ Ãn decembrie a.c.
On 7th of September, Karl HALLBERG created a public "emergency bike
point", where everyone could come and fix his/her bike for free. This
point was available all the time until early December.

Pe 8 septembrie 2013, Ãn Zpatiu, Ètefan Tiron a vorbit despre Occupy
Gezi: dinamica gazelor lacrimogene, proximitate radicalÄ, roiuri umane,

On 8th of September, at Zpace, Stefan Tiron made a presentation about
Occupy Gezi: the dynamics of tear gas, radical proximity, human swarms
and the circulation of protest images in the media

Ãntre 10-12 septembrie Levente Polyak Èi Vitalie Sprinceana au
coordonat un atelier de cartografiere âSpaÈii Recuperateâ Ãn
scopul de a instrui comunitatea de activiÈti cum sÄ utilizeze
tehnologii interactive crowd-mapping pentru a-Åi coordona eforturile
Èi ÃmbunÄtÄÈi comunicarea Ãntre autoritÄÈi Èi cetÄÈeni.
Between September 10-12, Levente Polyak and Vitalie Sprinceana
coordinated the "Reclaiming spaces" workshop in order to inform
activists how to use interactive crowd-mapping technologies to
coordinate their efforts and improve the communication between
authorities and citizens.

Deschis unde a fost proiectat filmul âBlocadaâ. Filmul dat
reprezintÄ o perspectivÄ unicÄ asupra celor mai Ãnsemnate proteste
studenÅeÅti din istoria recentÄ a CroaÅiei.
On 12th of September, âThe Blockadeâ movie was screened at Flat
Space. This film shows a unique view of the most significant student
protest in recent history of Croatia.

Pe 14 septembrie, Igor Tyshchenko a tinut o prezentare despre
activitatea
AsociaÈiei de Ciclism din Kiev Èi experienÈa acesteia Ãn
âbiciclizareaâ Kievului. El, de asemenea, a vorbit despre
experienÅa colaborÄrii cu proiectanÅii de transport Åi
autoritÄÅile locale. Prezentarea a fost urmatÄ de proiecÅia filmului
Still We Ride.
On 14th of September, Igor Tyshchenko held a presentation about the
activity of the Association of Kyiv cyclists and its experience on the
âbicyclizationâ of Kyiv city. He also talked about the experience of
dealing with transport planners and local authorities. The screening of
the film Still We Ride followed the presentation.

Ãntre 15-16 septembrie, am fost gazdÄ unui grup de experÈi strÄini
care au venit Ãntr-o vizitÄ de studiu, Ãn cadrul cÄreia experÈii
s-au ÃntÃlnit cu comunitatea de activiÈti din ChiÈinÄu Èi cu
autoritaÈile locale, Èi au putut cunoaÈte mai bine efectele negative
produse de transformÄrile urbane de tip neoliberal.
Between 15-16 of September we hosted a group of international experts
who participated in a study visit in Chisinau. During their visit the
experts have met with the local activist community and with authorities. 
They could also learn more about the negative effects produced by the
neoliberal type of urban transformations.

Pe 17-18 septembrie, v-am invitat sÄ participaÈi la conferinÈa
InternaÈionalÄ SpaÈiile Publice Ãn Post-Socialism: incluziune,
excluziune Èi practici de revendicare, ÃmpreunÄ cu cercetÄtori,
arhitecÈi, activiÈti, curatori Èi artiÈti din Republica Moldova,
Ucraina, Armenia, Georgia, Macedonia, Albania, Polonia Èi Ungaria, ce
sunt preocupaÅi de studierea spaÅiilor publice Èi problemelor legate
de definirea Åi configurarea acestora Ãn perioada post-socialistÄ.
On September 17-18, we all were invited to the international conference
âPublic Spaces in Post-Socialism: inclusion, exclusion and practices
of its reclaimingâ, together with scholars, architects, activists,
curators and artists from Moldova, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Macedonia, 
Albania, Poland and Hungary, who study or are active in the field of
public space and the problems related to the administration and
reconfiguration of public spaces in the post-socialist period.

grupurile de activiÅti Ãn decursul ultimilor ani.
On 17th of September, we invited people to join us at Flat Space where
several films about public spaces in Armenia were screened. It shows us
what it is like to be an active citizen in Armenia, and what activist
groups did in the past few years.

Ãn ChiÅinÄu: deghizaÅi Ãn elefant, trubadur Åi Ãn alte personaje,
am defilat pe strÄzi, destinaÅia finalÄ fiind Circul.
Tom RUSSOTTI and Karl HALLBERG invited us for a âcircus walkâ:
disguised as elephant, troubadour and other characters, we walked
through the streets of Chisinau, then headed to the Circus as our final
destination.

We made use of the public showcases situated on Pushkin str. to present
the work (If You DonÂt Need It?) of Slovak artists Jana Kapelovà and
Michal MoravÄÃk. These newspapers were used to document a series of
actions that they lead in Chisinau during their residency program.

Jarek SEDLÃK created, with the help of Karl HALLBERG, a roof made of
umbrellas for the Flat Space, in order to keep the structure open, as
Stefan RUSU designed it initially.

Seara am invitat publicul la Apartament Deschis unde au fost proiectate

In the evening we invited everybody to join us at Flat Space where
several film by Ghenadie Popescu were screened. At the end of the
screening the author himself generously offered us boiled corn that we
could try out.

ÃmpreunÄ cu Ludmila BOUROÈ Èi elevii Ècolii de artÄ Al. Èciusev
am explorat oraÈul vechi, pentru a reconstrui, prin desen Åi picturÄ,
istoria strÄzilor Åi caselor vechi. Prin aceastÄ acÅiune ne-am
propus sÄ contribuim la pÄstrarea monumentelor de arhitecturÄ din
ChiÈinÄu.
Together with Ludmila Bouros and pupils of Al. Sciusev art school we
explored the old town in order to reconstruct through painting and
drawing the history of the streets and old houses. By doing so, we
wanted to contribute to the preservation of the architectural monuments
in Chisinau.

Interesele individuale trec dincolo de cele colective, valorile
economice prevaleazÄ asupra patrimoniului architectural, religia se
intersecteazÄ cu libertatea de exprimare.
In his project, Intersections, Karl HALLBERG attempts to visualize some
of the different interests that meet each other in the cityscape of
Chisinau. Individual interests are crossing over collective ones,
economic values crossing heritage, religion crossing the freedom of
expression.

cÄruia a fost sÄ transforme scuarul din str. BucureÈti 68,
actualmente folosit Ãn calitate de parcare neautorizatÄ pentru
maÈini, Ãntr-o scenÄ, iar Èoferii au fost invitaÈi sÄ facÄ
muzicÄ.
Valeria BARBAS held a music performance Claximphonie, whose purpose was
to transform the square situated on Bucuresti str. 68, currently used as 
an unauthorized parking lot, into a stage, inviting the car drivers to
make music.

spaÈii Èi prezentÃnd o analizÄ a vieÈii locuitorilor din acest
oraÈ.
In the evening we screened the documentary Eternal Play created by Paula 
DURINOVA. She explores several spaces in Chisinau, such as the Eternity
memorial and chess players' square on Mateevici str., comparing both
public places and analyzing the life of city inhabitants.

Pe fundalul dispariÈiei infrastructurii sportive din ChiÈinÄu Tom
Russotti a invitat toÈi doritorii de a face sport Ãntr-un mod
colectiv, cu practici sportive inventate de dÃnsul. Acest eveniment a
avut loc Ãn ograda Liceului Chiril Åi Metodiu din zona oraÈului
vechi.
Having as a background the disappearing sport infrastructure in
Chisinau, Tom Russotti invited everybody for a collective sports event,
made of new sports that have been invented by him. This event took place 
in the playground of Chiril and Metodiu Liceum, in the old town.

Maxim CUZMENCO a desfÄÅurat o acÅiune ce a pornit de la tÄierea
parÅialÄ a copacilor bÄtrÃni de pe strÄzile ChiÅinÄului, de
cÄtre serviciile municipalitÄÅii, transformÃnd copacii Ãn obiecte
de artÄ. Copacii marcaÈi de autor prin coincidenÈÄ, sau nu, se
regÄseau Ãn apropierea axei Bulevardului Cantemir. AtenÈie!,
proiectat Ãn anii 70â cu scopul fluidizÄrii traficului auto Ãn
centrul oraÈului, acest bulevard ar putea fi oricÃnd construit.
Maxim CUZMENCO held an action based on the fact that municipal services
partially cut old trees in the streets of Chisinau, by transforming the
trees in objects of art. The selected trees by coincidence or not are
situated in the proximity of Cantemir Boulevard that was projected in
70âs in order to smoothen the car traffic. In fact, this boulevard
could be built even today.

Un pic mai tÃrziu, pe strada BÄlÄnescu, Ãntr-o cafenea, a fost
proiectat filmul DacÄ nu aveÅi nevoie?, care prezintÄ performace-ul
realizat de Jana KAPELOVA Åi Michal MORAVCIK ce a constat Ãn
colectarea mobilei vechi pentru a restructura spaÅiul public.
ChiÈinÄuienii nu au scÄpat Èansa de a se alege cu un taburet nou, de
culoarea marmurei, Ãn schimbul unor scaune vechi pe care le-au scos
afarÄ fÄrÄ nici o remuÈcare, Ãntr-un fel sugerÃnd faptul cÄ ar
pleca din casele lor vechi dacÄ ar primi apartamente noi Ãn schimb.
Few hours later the film âIf you don't need itâ, documenting the
performance of Jana KAPELOVA and Michal MORAVCIK that consisted of
collecting old furniture that was used to redesign the public space, was 
screened on Balanescu street, in a cafÃ. Chisinau inhabitants didnât
loose the chance to get a new stool, white like marble, instead of their 
old chairs that they gave away with no regret, suggesting so that they
would leave their old houses if they would get instead a new flat.

Ãn ultima zi a programului Centrul Civic al ChiÈinÄului â dincolo
de liniile roÈii Jan SVOBODA a organizat un eveniment Ãn aer liber de
ridicare a greutÄÅilor, desfÄÅurat lÃngÄ casa memorialÄ a lui
Ivan Zaikin. Ãn timpul acestui eveniment, oricine putea sÄ Ãncerce
halterele propuse de artist Èi sÄ se simtÄ campion!
During the last day of the program Chisinau Civic Center â beyond red
lines, Jan SVOBODA organized an outdoor weight-lifting event, next to
Ivan Zaikinâs memorial house. During this performance, everyone got
the opportunity to feel like a champion!

Ca un rezultat al atelierului de IntervenÅii urbane din strada Sf.
Andrei colÈ cu str. I. Zaikin, am organizat un concert Åi am proiectat
un film animat de HermÃna TÃrlovà (un pioner al filmului animat ceh).
ProiecÈia a fost pentru locuitorii din cartier care au contribuit la
amenajarea parcului aflat acolo.
As a conclusion to the Urban Interventions workshop organized on the
intersection of St. Andrew / I. Zaikin streets, we organized a concert
and screened an animation film by HermÃna TÃrlovÃ, a pioneer of Czech
animated film. The screening was for the inhabitants of the neighborhood 
who contributed to the revitalization of the park area.

La final am prezentat proiectul Ewei Rudnicka, care are drept scop sÄ
atragÄ atenÅia asupra patrimoniului arhitectural care a fost demolat
Åi pierdut datoritÄ intreselor economice, lÄcomiei, uitÄrii,
neglijenÅei, prostiei.
In the end we presented the project of Ewa Rudnicka, who wanted to bring 
awareness to the heritage that was demolished and lost due to economic
interests, greed, oblivion, negligence, stupidity.
