[oldboys] RAWA@obn conference

dear all,

i am in the middle of organising a woman from RAWA-pakistan to come to our conference in Hamburg. although we could pay for the trip, it does not make sense to bring her over just for one lecture or presentation. RAWA has asked me to help organise a tour through germany. and i think it would also make sense to include netherlands, france, belgium and switzerland, although we might get visa troubles. but i am pretty sure it is easier to solve from here than from pakistan.

the purpose of this tour would be to raise as much money as possible for what they need most urgently at the moment. so, it is not just important to bring loads of people to the presentations but also to make a media campaign which helps raising money. 

the german magazine STERN is going to have a big feature on RAWA. as soon as we know where else the speaker could be invited, we could send the tour plan to them.

so, please check your capacities and media connections and let me know if you cantake care of an invitation. it would also require to pay for the regional travel and take care of accomodation.
