Das Communication, Culture, and Technology Program der
Georgetown University http://cct.georgetown.edu/ launcht
heute gnovis http://cct.georgetown.edu/gnovis/ ein
"Web media journal devoted to examining the way information
technology and new media are changing our world. It will
offer original writing and research with new insights into business,
public policy, journalism/media, telecommunications and
culture in the new global network society."
Das 1995 begruendete Communication, Culture, and
Technology Program
"was founded at Georgetown in 1995 in response to the
need for an interdisciplinary program of study in media and
communication for the Information Age. In CCT, we believe
that the current networked society- with the global convergence
of communications, digital media and computing- requires a
different kind of education. Knowledge from multiple fields
must be combined to meet the demands of convergence,
change, complexity, and globalization."
Mit gnovis unternimmt das CCT einen weiteren spannenden
Schritt in Richtung einer netzwissenschaftlichen
Neuerfindung der Universitaet.
