Recycling the Conceptual
(Diskussionssprache ist Englisch)

Ohne die Konzeptkunst wären ein Großteil der gegenwärtigen Kunstproduktion
schwer vorstellbar. Der Umgang mit konzeptuellen Strategien reflektiert
indessen selten auf die historischen Wurzeln. Statt dessen werden Verfahren
übernommen, Bruchstücke eingesetzt - die Reste des Konzeptuellen werden als
variable Gebrauchsformen angeeignet.

Recycling the Conceptual
(discussion will be hold in English)

Without Conceptual Art, a large part of current art production would be
difficult to imagine. Despite this historical link, the contact with
conceptual strategies rarely reflects upon its heritage. Instead, practices
are taken over, fragments are deployed - the remains of the conceptual are
appropriated as so many forms for everyday use.
